RICHARD OSHEA CONSULTANCY
Need an IPN? We Can Handle the Application
If you need to file with the Companies Registration Office (CRO) or Register of Beneficial Ownership (RBO) but do not have an Irish PPSN, you may need to complete a Form VIF to verify your identity and obtain an Identified Person Number (IPN).
The process involves providing and checking your personal details. However, errors or mismatched information can delay your application and cause problems with later company filings.
That’s where we can help. We guide you through the VIF/IPN application process and help ensure your information is complete and accurate before you submit it.
UNDERSTANDING VIF & IPN
What Is a VIF/IPN Application?
A Form VIF is used to verify the identity of an individual who does not have an Irish PPSN. Once the VIF has been successfully completed, the CRO issues an Identified Person Number (IPN).
The IPN can then be used for relevant CRO and RBO filings where a PPSN would otherwise be required.

WHY IT MATTERS
Why Do You Need an IPN?
An IPN can be used where a person does not have an Irish PPSN for relevant CRO and RBO filings.
Incorrect details can cause problems with your application. As a result, your company filing may also take longer.
Your VIF application must contain accurate information. For this reason, we check the details you provide before you submit the application.
Once you receive an IPN, you can use it for relevant CRO and RBO filings for the same person.
