RICHARD OSHEA CONSULTANCY
Close Your Company Properly
If your company has stopped trading or never started trading, voluntary strike-off may be a straightforward way to close the company.
However, the CRO has specific conditions that your company must meet before it can apply. For example, all outstanding annual returns must be filed, the company must meet the asset and liability limits, and Revenue must have no objection to the strike-off.
We guide you through each step and help make sure your application is ready before it is submitted to the CRO.
UNDERSTANDING VOLUNTARY STRIKE-OFF
What Is Voluntary Strike-Off?
Voluntary strike-off allows an eligible company to ask the Companies Registration Office (CRO) to remove it from the register.
Once the CRO completes the process, the company is struck off and dissolved. This means the company no longer has legal existence.
The process is different from liquidation and is generally suitable for companies that have ceased trading and have very limited assets and liabilities.
