RICHARD OSHEA CONSULTANCY
Get Your RBO Registration Right From the Start
Irish companies and other relevant entities are required to identify their beneficial owners and file the required information with the Central Register of Beneficial Ownership (RBO).
For newly incorporated entities, beneficial ownership information generally must be registered within five months of incorporation. If your company’s beneficial ownership details change, the RBO must also be updated within the required timeframe.
We handle the registration and update process for you, helping reduce the risk of errors, missed deadlines and unnecessary compliance issues.
UNDERSTANDING BENEFICIAL OWNERSHIP
What Is Beneficial Ownership Registration?
Beneficial ownership registration is the process of identifying the natural persons who ultimately own or control a company and registering the required information with Ireland’s Central Register of Beneficial Ownership.
A beneficial owner will typically be someone who directly or indirectly owns or controls more than 25% of a company’s shares or voting rights, although control can also arise through other means.
The RBO is separate from the Companies Registration Office (CRO). Companies have their own obligations to maintain an internal beneficial ownership register as well as filing the required information with the RBO.
